Rubbish removal in Nambour, with the tip in town
Nambour has its own transfer station on Cooney Road, and that is where our Nambour loads go. Since January 2024 we have done more than 190 jobs in Nambour, and more than 100 of those were rubbish runs. The rest were moves, many of them within Nambour itself.
One thing stands out in our Nambour job history: whitegoods. Fridges, washing machines and dryers make up a bigger share of Nambour bookings than they do anywhere else on the Coast. A dead fridge in the laundry, a washer replaced by a new one, a dryer nobody has used in years. We take them all, and most of the time they go on the same load as the other household rubbish.
Prices for Nambour rubbish removal
There are two parts to the price: our service fee for the crew, the ute and the loading, and the tip fee, passed on at cost. The service fee is agreed before we start. Current prices, GST included:

A pile means everything is in one place and easy to reach when we pull up. A collection means we go and get it from rooms, the yard or the shed. Green waste is priced on the same scale. Saturdays cost 1.5 times the weekday price, with the truck crew only, and we do not do rubbish removal on Sundays. All rates are on the prices page.
How the tip fee works
We take the load to the Nambour Transfer Station, pay at the weighbridge and pass on that exact amount. There is no markup. Tip charges vary with weight and the type of waste and they change over time, so we do not put a set tip figure on a quote. The Sunshine Coast tip fees guide explains what affects the cost.
Whitegoods and the rest
For a single fridge, washer or dryer, the single item price applies: $109 with one person, or $209 if it is a large double-door fridge or sits up a flight of stairs. Moving in or out of Nambour

Sheds, garages and bigger blocks
Nambour has town-centre units and houses, and bigger blocks on the edges of town toward the hinterland. On the larger properties the rubbish often lives in a shed or a garage rather than the house. Tell us what is out there and how close the ute can get. A long walk from the shed to the ute counts as a collection, and a shed full of heavy items may be quicker with two people. Getting whitegoods ready for pickup
A little preparation makes a fridge or washer pickup quicker:
- Empty the fridge and freezer, and unplug it the day before so any water has time to drain.
- Turn off the taps behind the washing machine and disconnect the hoses if you can.
- Clear a path from the laundry or kitchen to the door.
- Tell us if the appliance is upstairs or down a narrow hallway.
We carry fridges upright and strap every load before it leaves your place. If an appliance is working and you would rather it went to a new home, you may be better off selling or giving it away first. We only take what is going to the tip, and the tip fee is passed on exactly as charged.
