How the quote works
Every house move starts with an upfront quote. We base this on the size of the property, the volume and nature of your belongings, the distance between addresses and any access considerations at either end — things like stairs, lifts, long carry distances or narrow driveways.
You'll receive a confirmed price before we start, not a vague hourly estimate that could balloon unpredictably. If on move day the job is tracking over the estimated time — perhaps there's more to move than we accounted for, or access is more complex than described — we stop and speak to you before any extra charges apply. We'll explain the situation, give you the overtime rate and ask your approval to continue. You will never receive a surprise bill at the end.
Transparency on overtime: The overtime rate is explained to you at the time of quote, before you book. There are no hidden clauses and no surprises. If the job finishes on time or early, you pay the quoted price — not a cent more.
Apartments, townhouses and units
Multi-storey living is common across the Sunshine Coast, and we're well set up for it. We handle apartment and unit moves with lifts, stairwells, tight car parks and body corporate access requirements as a routine part of our work. If your building has specific requirements — dedicated lift bookings, time restrictions or loading dock rules — let us know when you enquire and we'll plan around them.
Townhouses with internal stairs, narrow driveways and courtyard access? No problem. We come prepared with the right gear and the right team size for your specific property.
What to expect on move day
- We confirm your booking the day before to make sure everything is on track.
- The team arrives at the agreed time with the truck loaded and ready to work.
- We do a quick walkthrough of both properties with you to confirm the plan.
- We load everything carefully — furniture wrapped and protected as needed.
- Everything is placed in the correct rooms at the new address, not left in a pile.
- We do a final check with you before we wrap up. Payment is only taken once you're happy.
Local and intrastate moves
Most of our house moves are local — between Sunshine Coast suburbs. But if you're moving from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane, the Gold Coast or elsewhere in Queensland, we can quote on that too. Call us to discuss and we'll work out a price that makes sense for the distance involved.
