Removalists across Noosa Heads, Noosaville and Tewantin

We have done more than 240 jobs in the Noosa area since January 2024, across Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Tewantin and Sunshine Beach. More than 120 of them were furniture and house moves, which makes Noosa one of the few areas where we move more than we take to the tip. Noosa moves are mostly local. The most common destination for a Noosa move is Noosaville, followed by Noosa Heads and Tewantin. Plenty of people are shifting between those three, a unit by the river to a house in Tewantin, or one rental to the next. Outside the Noosa area, the usual destinations are Peregian Springs and Sunrise Beach.

Every part of Noosa moves differently

Noosa looks compact on a map, but the access changes a lot from one pocket to the next. Knowing which one you're in helps us give you an accurate estimate:

• Noosa Heads. Apartments and resort-style buildings around the main beach and Noosa Hill, where parking and lifts are usually the deciding factor.
• Noosaville. Units along the river, plus established houses in the streets behind. Gympie Terrace parking can be busy, so tell us where we can stop.
• Tewantin. Mostly houses, with some on sloping blocks. Driveways and garages are the main things to describe.
• Sunshine Beach and Sunrise Beach. Hilly streets and houses built up off the road, so expect stairs and say how many.

Noosa removalist prices

We charge by the hour, so a short move between Noosaville and Tewantin doesn't cost the same as a run to the other end of the Coast. Before you book, we estimate the loading, the drive and the unloading from your item list and the access at both ends.

If the job runs over the estimate, extra time is charged in 15-minute blocks. Payment is on completion, with no fuel levy and no booking fee. Saturday moves are available with our truck crew at 1.5 times the weekday rate. See the full price list for single items and more.

Choosing the crew size

The hourly rate is only half the story. A crew of two costs $207 an hour, but on a job with a lift, a long walk to the truck or stairs at a Sunshine Beach house, two people often finish in close to half the time of one. For a few boxes and a bedside table, one removalist with a ute at $104 an hour is the sensible choice. Tell us what you've got and we'll recommend whichever comes out cheaper overall, not whichever earns us more.

Leaving Noosa for Peregian Springs or Sunrise Beach

After the moves inside Noosa, Peregian Springs and Sunrise Beach are the most common places Noosa customers head. Peregian Springs is a run south toward Coolum, usually ending at a newer home with good access. Sunrise Beach is close by, but the hilly streets mean stairs are common at that end. Both are priced the same way: loading, the drive and unloading, estimated before you book.

Apartments and resort buildings

A move out of a Noosa Heads or Noosaville apartment usually comes down to three questions: can the lift be booked, where can the truck stop, and how far is the walk from the lift to the vehicle? Ask your building manager before the day. Some buildings have set hours for moves or want the lift padded first. If we know the answers when we quote, the estimate will be close to the final figure.

Downsizing in Noosa

If you're moving from a bigger house to a smaller place, some furniture won't fit at the other end. Work out what's staying behind before the day, and decide whether it's going to family, being sold, or heading to the tip. We can drop unwanted pieces at the Noosa Transfer Station on Eumundi Noosa Road at Doonan on the same trip as your move. Getting the most from an hourly booking

The quickest moves are the ones that are ready to go when the crew arrives. Pack and tape boxes, strip the beds, and empty drawers that are heavy or full of loose things. Clear a path from each room to the door. If you can, have the new place unlocked and the rooms labelled. Each of those saves minutes, and on an hourly job, minutes are money in your pocket.

Noosa to the rest of the Coast
