Removalists for the whole Kawana strip
Kawana isn't one suburb, it's a run of them: Buddina, Warana, Bokarina, Wurtulla, Birtinya and Kawana Island, strung along the coast between Mooloolaba and Currimundi. Taken together, it's one of the busiest areas we work in. Since January 2024 we have done more than 410 jobs across Kawana, more than 170 of them furniture and house moves and the rest rubbish runs.
The housing changes from one end to the other. There are established beach houses in Buddina, Warana and Wurtulla, canal homes around Kawana Island, and apartments and townhouses in the newer parts of Birtinya and Bokarina. Each comes with its own access, which is why we price every move on the time it takes rather than a flat rate.
Where Kawana moves go
The most common destination for a Kawana move is Maroochydore. After that come Mooloolaba, Birtinya, Buderim and Warana. In other words, a lot of Kawana people move north up the coast, and a lot move within Kawana itself, from a Warana house to a Birtinya apartment or the other way round.
Moves between Kawana suburbs are short drives, so the cost mostly comes down to loading and unloading. That's where telling us about stairs, lifts and parking really pays off.
Kawana removalist prices
We price by the hour, with an estimate agreed before you book. You give us the item list and the access at both ends, we estimate the loading, the drive and the unloading, and that's your quote.

Up the coast to Maroochydore
Maroochydore is the most common place our Kawana customers move to, with Mooloolaba close behind. Both are a straight run north along the coast, and both have a lot of apartment buildings at the receiving end. If you're moving into one, ask the building about lift bookings and loading before the day, and send us the details with your quote request. The more we know about both ends, the tighter the estimate.
Birtinya and Bokarina apartments
The newer apartment and townhouse buildings in Birtinya and Bokarina usually have lifts, basement parking and building rules about moving. Before the day:
- Check the moving rules. Some buildings ask for a lift booking, lift padding or set hours for moves.
- Find out about the basement. A truck may not clear a car park built for cars. Ask where a larger vehicle can stop.
- Know your fob. If the lift or car park needs a fob, have it ready for the crew.
- Measure the big pieces against the lift door and any tight corridor corners.
Beach houses in Buddina, Warana and Wurtulla
The older streets behind the beach have plenty of houses with stairs, carports and side paths. Some have the living areas upstairs. Tell us how many steps there are and whether the furniture goes through the front door or around the side. For a fridge, a heavy timber table or a lounge up a flight of stairs, two removalists will be quicker and safer, and usually close to the same total.
Kawana Island and the canals
Canal homes come with outdoor living areas, and outdoor furniture is easy to leave off the list. Deck settings, pot plants, the barbecue and the kayak rack all take time. If it's moving, list it, so the estimate reflects the real job.

Rubbish out while you move
About half of our Kawana jobs are rubbish runs, so combining a move with a clear-out is routine. We load what's going to the new place, then take unwanted items to a transfer station on the same trip, the Caloundra Transfer Station on Pierce Avenue or the Buderim Transfer Station on Syd Lingard Drive, whichever suits the route. Making the day go quickly
On an hourly job, preparation is money. Tape your boxes, label them by room, and strip the beds before we arrive. Empty heavy drawers. Disconnect the washing machine and empty the fridge the day before. If you're moving into an apartment, collect the keys and fobs early so the crew isn't waiting in the car park.
