Pickup Pals is based in Coolum Beach. That makes Coolum one of the easiest places on the Coast for us to fit in a rubbish run. Since January 2024 we have done more than 250 jobs in Coolum Beach, and more than 130 of them were rubbish removals.

Coolum jobs have their own pattern. Cabinets turn up on our Coolum bookings more often than in other suburbs: old TV units, bedside cabinets, storage cupboards, and the odd tall wardrobe that will not fit through the next house's door. Add the usual beds, couches and whitegoods and you have most of what we carry out of Coolum homes.

What it costs

Every job has a service fee for the crew and the ute, plus the tip fee at cost. The service fee depends on how much there is and whether it is ready to go. Prices include GST:

If you can put everything in one spot before we arrive, you get the pile price. If we are going room to room, it is a collection. Garden waste such as palm fronds and branches is charged on the same scale. Saturday jobs are 1.5 times the weekday price, done by the truck crew, and there is no rubbish removal on Sundays. Which tip a Coolum load goes to

Coolum sits between several council transfer stations. We take your load to the nearest one that suits the run that day, which may be Buderim, Nambour or Noosa at Doonan. Wherever it goes, the tip fee is passed on exactly as charged, with no markup. Tip prices change over time, so we bill from the docket rather than quoting a figure ahead of the job. Common Coolum pickups

• Cabinets and TV units, more common on Coolum jobs than anywhere else we work.
• Beds and mattresses. See mattress removal for mattress-only jobs.
• Dining tables and chairs, and outdoor settings that have seen too much salt air.
• Fridges, washing machines and dryers, carried upright and strapped in.
• Couches and lounges, including old sofa beds.

Moving out of Coolum

We have done more than 110 moves from Coolum Beach since 2024. Most go to Maroochydore, a new address inside Coolum, Peregian Springs, Buderim or Marcoola. Moving day is when the stuff nobody wants comes out of the cupboards, so plenty of customers book the move and the tip run together. Our Coolum Beach removalist page has the hourly move rates. Units, houses and the bits in between

Coolum has everything from units near the beach to family homes in the streets back toward Mount Coolum. In a unit block, tell us about the lift, the car park height and where we can stop the ute. What to tell us when you book

A few details help us price the job properly the first time:

• Roughly what is going, or a few photos of it.
• Whether it is already in one spot or spread around the property.
• Any heavy pieces, such as a big fridge or a solid timber cabinet.
• Stairs, steep paths or a long walk from where the ute can park.
• Whether there is garden waste in the mix.

With that, we can tell you whether it is a single item, one load or two, and whether one person or two will get it done for less.
