What we move — and how it works
Not every move is a full house. Sometimes you've scored a great sofa on Facebook Marketplace and need help getting it up two flights of stairs. Sometimes you're rearranging a bedroom and the wardrobe is simply too heavy to shift on your own. Sometimes you're moving into a new place and just need the bulky stuff handled professionally.
That's exactly what Pickup Pals is here for. We're furniture removalists on the Sunshine Coast who don't have a minimum job size. One piece, a full room, or a whole house — the same reliable team shows up, does the heavy lifting and puts everything exactly where you want it.
What we move
Single item moves
Sofas, beds, dining tables, fridges, washing machines, pianos, large bookshelves — if it's too big or too heavy for a standard vehicle, we've got it. Single-item jobs are quoted upfront and are often bookable with short notice, including same-day when availability allows.
Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree pickups
This is one of the most common calls we get. You've found exactly what you were looking for online, you've sorted the deal with the seller — now you need someone to collect it and deliver it to your door. We do Marketplace and Gumtree pickups across the Sunshine Coast constantly. Give us the pickup and drop-off addresses, tell us what the item is, and we'll sort an upfront price. You don't even need to be present at the pickup if the seller can handle access.
Full room moves
Moving a bedroom, a lounge room or a study? We'll load everything carefully, transport it to the new address and reassemble or place items in the right rooms. No need for a full house move booking — we can handle individual rooms as standalone jobs.
Stair access and tight spaces
A lot of furniture removalists on the Sunshine Coast charge extra for stairs or refuse awkward access points. We don't. Stairwells, narrow hallways, tight corners and lifts are just part of the job. If access at your property is genuinely complex, let us know when you call so we can send the right team size and gear — but we will not refuse the job based on access.
Furniture moves vs. full house moves: A furniture move is any job where we're moving individual pieces or specific rooms, usually from one property to another or within the same property. A full house move covers all your belongings in one go. Both are quoted upfront, but they're priced differently — a furniture move tends to be simpler and faster to quote. Not sure which applies? - You pay once you're happy — card or cash, no payment before completion.
