Removalists for the southern end of the Coast

We have done more than 270 jobs in Caloundra since January 2024. A little over 100 of them were furniture and house moves, and the rest were rubbish runs. That mix says something about Caloundra: a lot of moves here come with a clear-out attached, so we're set up to do both in one visit.

Caloundra covers a lot of ground. There are units and apartments along Kings Beach and Bulcock Beach, canal homes at Pelican Waters, established streets through Golden Beach, Moffat Beach and Currimundi, and the newer estates out at Banya, Baringa and Caloundra West. Each one moves a little differently, and we price each one on its own access rather than a flat rate.

Where Caloundra moves go

Our job records show Caloundra people mostly move within the southern Coast. The most common destination is Banya, followed by moves inside Caloundra itself, then Golden Beach, Little Mountain and Caloundra West. In plain terms: plenty of people heading west into the newer estates, and plenty shifting a few streets closer to the water.

Short moves like these are where hourly pricing helps. A Golden Beach to Caloundra move might only have a short drive in the middle, so most of what you pay for is the loading and unloading. You aren't charged a full day for half a morning's work.

Caloundra removalist prices

Every move is priced by the hour. Before you book, we estimate how long the loading, the drive and the unloading will take, based on your item list and the access at both ends. That estimate is your quote.

If the job goes past the estimate, extra time is billed in 15-minute blocks. You pay once the job is done, and there are no fuel or booking fees on top. Weekend moving is possible on Saturdays with the truck crew at 1.5 times the weekday rate. See the prices page for everything in one place.

Moving into a new estate

Banya, Baringa and Caloundra West are where many Caloundra moves end up. New-estate moves are usually straightforward, but a few things are worth sorting before the day:

• Settlement and key timing. If you're waiting on keys, tell us. We can book a time that leaves some breathing room after settlement.
• Street parking. Some newer streets are narrow, and neighbours' cars and builders' utes can take the kerb. Let us know if the truck may need to park a little further away.
• Room plan. Label boxes by room. In a house we've never seen, it saves a lot of "where does this go?"

Beachside units and stairs

Moves out of the older walk-up blocks near the beaches often involve stairs and tight landings. That's where two removalists earn their rate: a fridge or a queen bed base on a narrow stairwell needs a person at each end. Don't forget the outside

Pelican Waters canal homes, Golden Beach backyards and Currimundi verandahs all have one thing in common: furniture that lives outdoors and gets left off the list. Outdoor settings, sun lounges, the barbecue, big pot plants and the kids' trampoline all take time to load. Put them on your list, even roughly, so the estimate covers them and the price on the day matches the quote.

What to send us for an accurate quote

The more we know, the closer the estimate. A good Caloundra quote request includes:

• Both addresses, or at least both suburbs
• A list of the main pieces, or a few photos of each room
• Stairs, lifts and how far the truck can park from the door, at both ends
• Anything heavy or awkward, such as a fridge, a solid timber table or a gym set
• Anything that should go to the tip instead of the new place

From that we work out the hours and the crew size, and you get a price before you commit.

Move and clear out in one booking

Since more than half our Caloundra jobs are rubbish runs, combining the two is something we do all the time. We load what's going to the new place, then take the unwanted pieces to the Caloundra Transfer Station on Pierce Avenue.
