A few tips if you're moving in or out of student accommodation or a share house:

• Check the move-out rules. Accommodation providers and property managers sometimes have set times or a key return process. Book your slot to fit.
• Split shared furniture before the day. If the couch belongs to one housemate and the fridge to another, agree who's taking what, and where it's going.
• Pack your own boxes. Taped, labelled boxes are quick to load. Loose items in bags take longer, and on an hourly job, longer costs more.
• Book early around the end of semester. If your lease or room contract ends at a busy time, getting in early gives you more choice of day.

Family homes in Chancellor Park

Not every Sippy Downs move is a student one. Chancellor Park and the surrounding streets have plenty of family homes, and a family move means more furniture: beds for every room, a dining setting, the lounge, whitegoods and the kids' gear. Moving up the hill to Buderim

Buderim is the most common destination for our Sippy Downs moves. The drive is short, but the access at the Buderim end can be very different: steep driveways, houses set below the street, and stairs down to the front door. When you describe the job, give us both ends. A flat Sippy Downs pickup and a sloping Buderim drop-off is a common combination, so the estimate needs to account for both.

Townhouses and complexes

Townhouse moves come with their own small puzzles. Shared driveways, visitor parking a long way from your door, and internal stairs up to the bedrooms. If you can, find out where a vehicle can stop and whether the complex has rules about moving times. Tell us how many levels the townhouse has. All of it goes into the estimate so the price holds.
