Terms and Conditions for Moving Services
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of moving services (“Services”) by Pickup Pals PTY LTD (“Company”) to you (“Customer”). By booking our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Payments

Furniture Moving Jobs: Payment must be made either at pickup or upon delivery.

Junk Removal Jobs: Payment must be made before our team leaves the premises.

Tip Fees for Junk Removal: Any additional tip/disposal fees must be paid within 48 hours of job completion.

In the event of non-payment, the Company may issue a letter of demand after 7 days. After 14 days, the debt may be referred to debt collection services.
2. Damages – Customer Assistance

Jobs involving customer assistance are not covered by insurance, unless a clear and obvious error is made solely by a Pickup Pals team member.

The Company reserves the right to determine whether an error has occurred.
3. Damages – Company Team Only

All damages must be documented with before and after photos.

The Company has sole discretion to approve or deny any claim for damages.

Payment for the job must still be made in full and is not contingent on the outcome of any damage claim.
4. Cancellations or Postponements

A $50 fee applies to any job cancelled or postponed within 48 hours of the scheduled start time.
5. Prices and Quotes

Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer.

If job details change (e.g. additional items, stairs, poor access), the quote may be adjusted accordingly.

The Company will advise you of any changes in price.
6. Scope of Services

Services provided are as outlined in your booking confirmation.

Any tasks requested outside of that scope may incur additional charges.
7. Insurance Coverage

Pickup Pals maintains appropriate liability insurance for its services.

We do not offer cover for customer belongings, and separate contents or transit insurance is not required.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:

Providing safe and clear access to the premises,
-
Giving accurate item details,
-
Arranging any required building access or permits ahead of time.
9. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be resolved through mediation, arbitration, or legal action, at the Company’s discretion.
10. Privacy Policy
-
We collect and manage customer information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on request or via our website.
11. Additional Charges
Additional fees may apply for:

Delays caused by the customer (e.g. waiting for access),
-
Extra items or services added on the day,
-
Changes to the agreed date, time, or access conditions.
12. Wait Times / Access Delays
If our team is delayed due to locked buildings, unprepared items, or the customer not being present:

A $25 per 15-minute fee will apply for 1-person jobs

A $41.25 per 15-minute fee will apply for 2-person jobs
13. Force Majeure

The Company is not responsible for delays or inability to complete jobs due to events outside our control (e.g. weather, road closures, government action).
14. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the services in line with the conditions outlined in the booking confirmation.
15. Legal Compliance

These Terms comply with all applicable Australian laws relating to transport and moving services.
16. Indemnification
-
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Pickup Pals harmless from any claims, costs, or losses resulting from their actions or failure to provide accurate job information.
